Went there from some ones experience there. Prices were unreal and food was great. Sad news that day. I guess Tina lost her cancer battle. R.I.P.

The breakfast was amazing. I had the menu item, "Tina's Krap," NO LIE. I want everyone to know, that Krap was amazing. I will return again and have a great breakfast someday in the furure.

Great food great service

The other reviews are correct, this place is a total diamond in the rough. Inconspicuous from the outside, and pretty basic, but clean on the inside. The food is amazing and the prices are great. The portions are good sized as well, if you leave still hungry, you probably already have a tapeworm.

Rustic little place in southrange w/good food at a good price

We had take out thanksgiving dinner today, as usual it was awesome, highly recommend this well kept secret. Thanks to Tina' s Katalina crew for cooking so that we could enjoy.

Things have changed since Tina has passed.. all menu items were a hit.. Only order a few times since then..i hope it can get back to where it was

You come here for equal parts atmosphere, camaraderie, and home-cooked meals. Nothing fancy, but it is homey and hearty meals that will stick to your bones.

Simple but wholesome. They make their own bread and it’s delicious. Worth the drive if you are staying in Houghton/Hancock. Please note, this establishment is cash/check only.

Hugh quality food at a killer price. I'd recommend their skillet with a side of their awesome sausage gravy!My favorite breakfast joint in the UP.

An easy five stars! The food was excellent and the service was great! I had the Smelt Basket which was simple, yet superb. I highly recommend this somewhat hidden gem!

Tiny little small town hole in the wall place, with friendly service and good eats! Would recommend it to everyone and would definitely eat there again!

My wife and I were there a little over a year ago. We were only in town for a short while. We were lucky enough to stop at Tina's for lunch.....the service was excellent and the food was better yet.

Don't drive by because of the exterior (or the entryway). Go in and sit down. You'll be rewarded with a hearty breakfast at a great price. The person at the grill knows what they are doing. Excellent pancakes and coffee, eggs done right. Lots of small town charm.

Best breakfast in the area, tastes just like grandma used to make it. Their lunch and dinner options are also great. Not a ton of fried food so you are getting a good home cooked meal.

A little slice of Americana... I had the meatloaf dinner with mashed potatoes and gravy, and green beans. The meatloaf and potatoes were so good.

Good food, good service, good value

Though I grew up in the area, I'd never been to the Katalina--boy was I missing out! Went there for breakfast with my dad, the prices for breakfast are outstanding. Waitress was super attentive and refilled coffee frequently as well as checking on how our meals tasted, etc. Will forewarn that the bacon comes crispy (sorry chewy-bacon fans!) but was delicious. Homemade bread is awesome! Will be frequenting this small-town small restaurant in the future!
